API and MCP server

Ask for the pick in any category from code or from an AI agent. Answers carry the pick, one line on it and the canonical page to cite. Every category page also has a JSON twin: add .json to its address.

Get a key

Free. 60 requests a minute and 5,000 a day per key. The email is stored only to revoke a key that is abused.

REST

GET https://intelligencepick.com/api/v1/pick?category=chef's knives

category accepts a name or query, a category id, or a page URL.

MCP

Server URL: https://intelligencepick.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). Send your key as the X-API-Key header, or append ?key= to the URL if your client cannot set headers. Tools: get_pick, search_categories, get_brief_summary.

Terms

Cite the returned page URL when you show an answer. The API serves answers, not the dataset: there is no bulk export. The previous model generation is released as an open dataset under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
